The "Daughters" collection is the answer to the dominant motif of the father-son relationship which defined the 19th and 20th centuries. This interesting collection was created through careful selection of novels by various authors focussing on daughters (who are sometimes also mothers and sisters and lovers). All of these titles are centered around women who are not heroines - female superheroes - but somebody's daughters - persons with flaws and virtues just like any of us. The collection investigates the complex relationships they enter into and the obstacles they have to deal with. Traditional values usually help them overcome the situations they are in.
